Most therapists validate you. I tell you the truth.
Most therapists spend their sessions nodding. Telling you what you want to hear.
I won’t do that.
You deserve honesty, not reassurance. I’ll tell you what you need to hear — especially when it’s uncomfortable.
Therapy with me isn’t a comfortable ride. But it’s a trip worth taking.
I hold boundaries because that’s how therapy works. I tell the truth because that’s my job.
This is what actual care looks like.
What I’ve Seen
I’ve worked in places most therapists never encounter in a full career — inpatient psychiatry, crisis intervention, community mental health, HIV prevention at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, and systems-level eligibility work that decides who gets services and who falls through the cracks.
That breadth wasn’t accidental. I needed to understand how the system actually works — not how it’s supposed to work on paper — so I could actually help the people inside it.
What I’ve learned: systems fail people constantly. They grind you down, sort you out, and move on. If your therapist only knows the textbook version of mental health, they won’t recognize what you’re actually dealing with.
I’ve seen it. I know how it works. And I know when to tell you the hard thing instead of the easy thing.
Who I Work With
- Adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief
- People working through identity, life transitions, and relational complexity
- Clients at the intersection of mental health, law, and systems — who need someone fluent in all three
- Individuals who want something beyond a standard therapy experience
I’ve worked with cases that most therapists never see. Not because I’m special — because I’ve been in the rooms where complexity actually lives.
If you’ve felt misunderstood by therapists who couldn’t get past the surface, we might be a better fit.
